Sunday Day 11
After a good night’s sleep I woke up with the usual mild sciatic
pain in my right leg. The pillow trick didn’t work but I’ll persevere and try
it again tonight. The pain eventually went away throughout the day and the only
discomfort I’ve had has been the dull ache in my buttocks and the incessant
itching of the area around my wound. I had my wound redressed by my wife today
and noticed some redness around it. I’m not sure if this is normal but I have
an appointment with the doctor tomorrow so will get everything checked out
then. I’ve included a picture. I walked briefly again today without any
problems and am hoping that Dr Eakpatipan will allow me to do a bit more in the
next few weeks. Tomorrow is my first visit back to the hospital since I was
discharged and I am looking forward to finding out when my staples can come out
and if everything is going to plan.
